Susan ElizabethMCNAMEE(née Sheard) Died in Yeovil Hospital on Sunday 9th March from cancer aged 78. Much loved and respected wife of Colin McNamee. Sue worked for ARC, Frome before moving to Baltonsborough in 1977. She then joined Clark's, Street in 1978 in HR and Marketing for 25 years and for 10 years in HR with Wincanton Transport, Bridgwater. We moved to Frome from Dublin in 1972 and Sue joined The Frome Amateur Operatic Society (FAOS) in 1973 appearing in over 30 shows. Whilst lead dancer in some, was happy to participate in the chorus, being actively involved in the life of the Society. Originally from Hull, Yorkshire where she trained as a ballet dancer; Sue was a Gold Medal ballroom dancer at the age of 16 and played violin with The Hull Junior Philharmonic Orchestra for several years.

A Church Service will be held in St Dunstan's Church, Baltonsborough, Somerset on Tuesday 1st April 2025 at 1.30pm. No flowers by request.

Sue requested that any donations in lieu, be equally divided between The Frome Memorial Theatre Trust and St Dunstan's Church (cheques payable to St Dunstan's PCC). These may be sent to Forsey and Son, Funeral Directors, Willowfields, Lowerside Lane, Glastonbury, Somerset BA6 9GY or on-line via funeral-notices.co.uk. Thank you.
